LPCA Consumer Branch
The Consumer Branch is the consumer advocacy arm of the Louisiana Primary Care Association. It is comprised of Section 330 of the Public Health Services Act deemed board members of Louisiana's Federally Qualified Health Centers. The LPCA Consumer Branch plays an important role in LPCA's Advocacy Efforts. The primary role of LPCA's Consumer Branch is to establish relationships and to educate area elected official and congressman about legislation or policies that will enhance or inhibit Louisiana's federally qualified health centers core mission, which is to provided accessible and affordable health care to the medically underserved. LPCA Consumer Branch works hand in hand with LPCA Consumers to provide them with the resources and information need to adequately educate lawmakers about LPCA supported policy recommendations and legislation.
Whether a health center board member or not, we would like to encourage you to sign up to LPCA's Voter Voice System. Signing up for LPCA's Voter Voice System will enable you to receive email alerts when important policies or pieces of legislation are nearing to be heard before legislative committees. This will give you the opportunity to express your views relevant to any piece of legislation being considered. LPCA also assists by providing you with a prewritten message that you can forward if you so choose. LPCA's prewritten messages will protect the interest of Louisiana's federally qualified health centers and enable services to Louisiana's medically underserved residents.
