In January 2008, after comprehensive planning and preparation the LPCA entered
into a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement with the State of Louisiana that
appropriated over $41 million towards a $100 million community health center
Facility Expansion Initiative (FEI). Using numerous leveraging opportunities
and development resources, the ongoing FEI is expanding and enhancing access to
health center services and programs throughout the state.
It is anticipated that this initial
phase of the capital development program will be completed in 2011. During this
time, as project updates become available, information will be posted by the
participating health centers through links that will be presented below.

The following construction and/or equipment projects are currently accepting bids. For more information contact the appropriate health center as stated below.
- Innis Community Health Center - Innis, LA
Sealed bids are requested by Innis Community Health Center, Inc from qualified contractors for the following project:
-Design, fabrication and installation of a modular building, 42 x 54 for dental services to be located on the property of 6450 Louisiana Highway 1, Innis, LA 70747. Bids will be
accepted up until: 12:00pm local time, Friday, February 12, 2010.

BUILDING CONSTRUCTION
BID SECURITY equal to five percent (5%) of the Total Bid shall be
in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cashier’s check as prescribed by
LA RS 38:2218.A must be attached to and made a part of the bid. If a bid bond is provided it shall be on the provided
form and only on the provided form. Bid bonds must be written by a qualified
company licensed to do business in Louisiana.
The
successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond written by a
company licensed to do business in Louisiana
in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount.
For
this project, Liquidated Damages will apply in the amount of three hundred dollars ($300.00) per day for each consecutive
calendar day which the work is not completed, beginning with the first day
beyond the established completion date of 120 days.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days
after actual date of the opening thereof.
The
David Raines Community Health Center Board reserves the right to reject any and
all bids.
The
David Raines Community Health Center Board desires that Bidders make a good
faith effort to utilize 25% small and economically disadvantaged businesses.
A MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE will
be held on February 15h, 2010
at 2:00PM . Contractors must report to the reception desk at David Raines
Community Health
Center, 1953 East Main Street, Haynesville, LA, 71038 where they will be
directed to the meeting location. Sign-in will be at the meeting location
between 1:45 P.M. and 2:00 P.M. Meeting
will be closed at 2:00 P.M. Persons arriving after the meeting starts will not
be allowed to submit a prime bid for the project. Attendance at the pre-bid conference by an
officer, estimator or other individual knowledgeable with preparing the bid, is
MANDATORY and will be considered a pre-condition for bidder eligibility.
- Tensas Community Health Center - St Joseph, LA
