LPCA Fiscal Department

LPCA's Fiscal Department is responsible for providing life sustaining and advancing fiscal management, support, and research for the Louisiana Primary Care Association and collective fiscal analysis and research pertinent to Louisiana's Federally Qualified Health Centers. The services and responsibilities of LPCA's Fiscal Department are as followed:

  • Provide analytical and research oriented fiscal staff support to the Executive Director.
  • Staff the required and requested Association committees that demand fiscal analysis and research involvement. 
  • Review and research cost and revenue estimates, as well as impact, on all proposed legislative matters, fiscal initiatives, and regulatory actions (involving fiscal) affecting the LPCA membership.
  • Work closely and cooperatively with federal, state, and local agencies on fiscal matters affecting the membership
  • Develop revenue estimates to be used by the Association for budgetary planning. Analyze in detail the LPCA budget before each new operating year and make recommendations to the Executive Director and Finance Committee on each item or program appearing in the budget as it relates to operations.
  • In addition to researching current agency programs and operations, analysts may also be called upon to analyze a public policy problem, develop possible alternatives to resolve the problem, and offer recommended solutions.
  • Propose and analyze changes for more effective operational administration.
  • Conducts fiscal and operational assessments to the Association members as requested and determined by the Executive Director. Operational and Fiscal assessment services will be limited to review and recommendation.
