- National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program – a federal program that assists clinicians who provide primary health care services to populations located in health professional shortage areas in the repayment of qualifying educational loans.
- J-1 Visa Waiver Program – a federal program that places foreign medical school graduates in difficult to fill health professional shortage areas.
- Louisiana State Tax Credit – a state tax incentive that provides a state income tax credit for doctors affiliated with small town community hospitals.
