Opportunity offered by Tulane University, Department of Epidemiology.  Located On site at FQHC.

The Clinical Research Coordinator will coordinate and conduct the day-to-day operations of a clinical study in hypertension being conducted in federally qualified health centers (FQHCs). The Clinical Research Coordinator will screen, enroll, and follow study patients, ensuring protocol compliance, and effective monitoring of clinical trial subjects. The Clinical Research Coordinator is also responsible for all data collection and entry, adverse event reporting, and maintenance of complete regulatory files. They will also coordinate all study activities with clinic staff, including administrators, providers, and other staff members.

Dental Hygienist  -  Access Health Louisiana (Luling & Norco, LA)

Our Dental Hygienists are responsible for the direct provision of oral hygiene and appropriate preventive services to dental patients of the health center. Performing procedures such as removing deposits, plaque, and stains from teeth as well as examining gums for signs of disease. In addition, a hygienist will apply fluoride or sealant solutions to freshly cleaned teeth and take x-rays for the dentist. Hygienists are also responsible for teaching patients about proper dental health and oral hygiene.

Health Information Supervisor - Outpatient Medical Center

• Prepare and maintain medical records in an orderly, efficient, professional manner and in accordance with established standard.
• Processes requests for medical information, obtains consents for releases, abstracts pertinent portions of medical records, copies, fax, mails and/or releases in accordance with departmental polices to safeguard patient confidentiality; sends and receives information via facsimile.
• Organizes and facilitates regular medical records staff team meetings 
• Conducts monthly chart audits based on the Performance Improvement Plan. 
• Directs, supervises and evaluates performances of medical records clerk.

Qualifications 
• Bachelors Degree (preferred)
at least three year experience  that is directly related to the duties and  responsibilities specific. Excellent communication and organizational skills for maintaining workflow. 
• Demonstrates reliability; ability to maintain confidentiality of records, information and to manage imparting confidential information.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, patient families, providers and others under stressful conditions; the ability to coordinate and maintain customer satisfaction among patients, providers and other internal/external customers.

Health Information Clerk (2) - Outpatient Medical Center (Natchitoches, LA)

Works under the immediate direction and supervision of the Health Information Management (HIM). Manager to maintain patient files and statistics. Responds to requests for patient medical information, ensuring adherence to confidentiality requirements, by controlling access to records room and ensuring that records are signed out and returned. Assembles and maintains complete medical records, files and retrieves patient records, and updates and closes files according to established procedures. May provide input to improvement of record management and retention procedures. Performs clerical and other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• Associates Degree and/or Bachelors Degree (preferred)

Patient Account Representative (2) - Outpatient Medical Center (Natchitoches and Tallulah, LA)

 Work as part of the patient (medical, dental and behavioral health) services team performing front desk clerical duties necessary to prepare patients for clinical visits under the Supervision of the Front/Back Office Supervisor. Works collaboratively with all departments to maintain accuracy of encounters and billing data in the information system.  Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein. 
Qualifications

QIQA Coordinator (PT) - Outpatient Medical Center

The Quality Specialist leads applicable Quality Compliance, Continuous Improvement and Corrective Action activities.
• To coordinate the monthly QIQA Committee meetings on behalf of the CMO
• To take QIQA meeting minutes on behalf of the QIQA Committee Chair; Vice-Chair 
• To work with the QIQA Committee sub-committee Chairs to help them “project manage” directives as issued to the sub-committees by the QIQA Committee
• To develop a system clinical performance dashboard; update same monthly and disseminate same to the QIQA Committee, Nurse Group and Provider Group 
• To assist the CEO Executive Secretary and CMO with coordinating standing quarterly Board QIQA/Process Improvement/Risk Management committee meetings 
• To assist the QIQA Committee in working with the health center Site Coordinators, Nurse Group and Provider Group to develop action plans designed to help our health system better track to meet our Federal and Health Plan HEDIS clinical performance measures 

Qualifications
• Associates degree in healthcare administration; quality management; project management; business management, Bachelor’s degree preferred
• At least 2 years experience in a healthcare setting. 
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
• Ability to deal effectively with a variety of people and work in a team environment
• Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and database software
• Ability to analyze and evaluate data; organize and interpret data for staff and administration

CrescentCare is looking for a full-time Registered Nurse for our new CrescentCare Loyola health center.  This site is a partnership with the New Orleans Family Justice Center, is a primary health center for the community, and will provide aftercare for survivors of sexual assault (SA), domestic violence (DV), and their families.  The RN will not be performing forensic examinations on SA/DV survivors.  The RN will supervise a Certified Medical Assistant, will coordinate care with Family Justice Center staff, and will provide excellence in nursing to all clients seen in the health center.

  • Requirements:
    • BSN or Associate Degree (RN)
    • Louisiana Registered Nurse (RN) License in good standing
