Join us for LPCA's Summer 2018 Training Series.  LPCA's Division of Community Health Center Operations and Practice Management will host a series of trainings to cover a variety of important topics.  See our Summer 2018 Training Series flyer.

All of these training opportunities will be held at the LPCA office at 503 Colonial Drive in Baton Rouge, LA.  Space is very limited, so you are encouraged to register as soon as possible!



Credentialing, Billing and Coding for FQHCs (REGISTER)


Credentialing, Billing and Coding for FQHCs (June 29, 2018 | 9:00am - 1:00pm)
What makes FQHCs different than regular Primary Care Practices?
This course is designed for managers, billing and clinical staff at FQHCs/CHCs who need a basic knowledge and understanding of how to complete and maintain credentialing application and file for all providers.  This course will provide a complete overview of the key issue they will face, educational priorities, how to locate and track changes to the key regulatory guidelines that bind together documentation, coding, and billing. Basic Knowledge  and understanding of  the core principles of coding, and the effects of coding plus the understanding of how and why medical documentation turns into CPT/HCPCS-II/ICD-10-CM codes, and formatting medical bills according to varying rules of insurance companies.  Learn more.

101: Team Orientation (June 1, 2018 | 9:00am - 1:00pm)
This course is designed for clinic staff, managers, IT and all staff who will be involved with the PCMH 2017 Initiative for their center. Participants will receive the PCMH 2017 Program Overview, learn the Recognition Eligibility and Recognition Process,  and increase their knowledge and understanding of the PCMH Team Orientation process.  Learn more.

201: Gap Analysis (July 13, 2018 | 9:00am - 1:00pm)
This course is designed for clinic staff, managers, IT and all staff who will be involved with the PCMH 2017 Initiative for their center.  This class will help in the evaluation of practice readiness, identification of clinic strengths and challenges in the transformation process, and increase knowledge and understanding of how to conduct a gap analysis.  Access to assistance with clinic redesign or recommitment to PCMH is available.  Learn more.
 
301: Transformation (August 17, 2018 | 9:00am - 1:00pm)
This course is designed for clinic staff, managers, IT and all staff who will be involved with the PCMH 2017 Initiative at their health center.  Participants will learn how to meet the goals of PCMH 2017 by practice transformation and how to design workflows, policies and processes to “The Standard Structure and Competency” requirements while staying true to the clinic design and mission.  Learn more.
 
401: Quality Measures and Improvement Deep Dive (September 7, 2018 | 9:00am - 1:00pm)
This course is designed for Quality Managers, Operation Managers, Practice Managers, clinical staff, IT, Revenue Managers, Team Leads and Supervisors and all staff involved with the PCMH 2017 Initiative at their health center.  In this class participants will learn how to implement Quality Measurement Improvement projects; how to select measures, interpret the data, and create an improvement process that improve patient outcomes and clinic performance.  Access to assistance with clinic redesign or recommitment to PCMH is available.  Learn more.
 




FQHC Nuts & Bolts  (REGISTER)
 

101: Basics (June 8, 2018 | 9:00am - 12:00pm)
This course is designed for all health center staff. 
This course will provide a complete overview of the key components of the Health Center Program. Participants will gain an understanding of Federally Qualified Health Centers, why they exist, and how they are different from other safety net providers. In addition, we will highlight many of the shared language of FQHCs (acronyms), common programs (340B, FTCA, IPA, ACO), major challenges, types of health centers, the role of supporting organizations, HRSA requirements(19 key requirements, UDS, site reviews), and accreditation initiatives.  Learn more.
 
102: Onboarding (July 20, 2018 | 9:00am - 12:00pm)
This course is designed for HR managers, Operations managers and/or directors, and all staff that participate in the recruitment and retention of talent for the health center. Participants will learn the difference between orientation and onboarding, increase their knowledge and understanding of the onboarding process, and identify elements of national best practices to  help improve their health center’s onboarding process.  Learn more.

103: Operations (August 31, 2018 | 9:00am - 12:00pm)
What we do NOT know, can hurt us! This course is designed as a detailed overview of daily health center operations. Participants will increase their understanding of what it takes to operate a successful health center, identify how each part of the clinic work together to support the shared vision, mission and goals of FQHCs, recognize how their specific role may fit into the FQHC landscape and learn how to access and utilize the tools and resources available to health center staff.  Learn more.

104: Off boarding (September 28, 2018 | 9:00am - 12:00pm)
This course is designed for HR managers, Operations managers and/or directors, and all staff that participate in the recruitment and retention of talent for the health center. Participants will increase their knowledge of the off boarding process, establish a functional understanding of the importance of planning for employee transitions, and identify elements of national best practices for health center off boarding.  Learn more.
