As the state association for Louisiana's Federally Qualified Health Centers, we work hard to collect and analyze healthcare data. While providing a clear picture of the work being done at health centers, FQHC data also proves useful when engaging in advocacy and educating the community about the value of the health center model. Have any questions? Looking for something in particular?

2019 LPCA Compensation & Benefits Survey
Data collection for LPCA’s 2019 Compensation & Benefits Survey begins Wednesday, May 1, 2019. The survey tool is currently available for download and completion. Consistent with our efforts last year, participation in this effort is completely voluntary. The purpose of the tool is to collect and disseminate more specific and relevant employment, salary, and benefits data to FQHCs in Louisiana. Particularly, health centers found the 2018 report a valuable tool in various aspects of the hiring process for all staff, while conducting performance reviews, and in assembling compensation packages that national surveys do not provide.
For questions about the 2019 survey, contact Yvette Merritt at firstname.lastname@example.org or (225) 927-7662, ext. 204.
The 2018 report is still available for purchase:

Uniform Data System Reports
HRSA's Bureau of Primary Health Care's Uniform Data System (UDS) tracks a variety of information, including patient demographics, services provided, clinical indicators and utilization rates. UDS data are collected from HRSA health centers and reported at the grantee, state, and national levels. The data are used to improve health center performance and operations and to report overall program accomplishments. The Uniform Data System (UDS) provides annual data snapshots, demographic trends, and data comparison tools which allow for state-to-state and state-to-national comparisons. Data is presented in a variety of tables and charts, and can be exported into Excel to facilitate public use.

Economic Impact Reports
Produced annually, economic impact reports measure the effect a health center's current operations and future growth have on the community it serves. LPCA and member health centers use these reports to educate policymakers, seek community support, and pursue funding opportunities.

The UDS Mapper is designed to help inform users about the current geographic extent of U.S. federal (Section 330) Health Center Program (HCP) grantees and look-alikes, and was largely designed upon algorithms and reporting methods developed by John Snow, Inc. for BPHC-requested service area analyses.
The information available in the UDS Mapper includes estimates of the collective service area of these health centers by ZCTA, including the ratio of HCP grantee and look-alike patients reported in the Uniform Data System (UDS) to the target population, the change in the number of those reported patients over time, and an estimate of those in the target population that remain unserved by HCP grantees and look-alikes reporting data to the UDS (but may be served by other providers).
